DAQUA

DAQUA - Development of a measuring method for the determination of wet steam quality

The aim of the project is to develop a method for measuring steam quality in the high-pressure range. This is not directly possible with sensors and measuring techniques currently available on the market. The problem is to be solved by the development of a hybrid measuring method, which includes the combination of a thermodynamic and an electrical measuring method. The hybrid measuring method is being developed jointly by the Institute for Process Technology, Process Automation and Measurement Technology (IPM) at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (HSZG) and HZDR Innovation GmbH (INNO). The hybrid measurement method will be tested and characterized at the steam storage test facility THERESA operated at HSZG. The project is carried out in scientific collaboration with the Institute of Fluid Dynamics at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), which contributes unique expertise in the field of multiphase flows in pressurized systems.
